SPDR S&P Kensho Smart Mobility ETF Dashboard

Traders and investors have a multitude of opportunities for theme investing. That is, ETFs are structured to invest in companies that are part of an industry, such as Biotech, Internet, Aerospace, etc. One such example is the SPDR® S&P Kensho Smart Mobility ETF.

According to the State Street Global Advisors’ website, this ETF “seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of the S&P Kensho Smart Transportation Index (the “Index”).”

The downloadable Excel dashboard has three quote sections. The top section allows you to enter in symbols (equities and ETFs only). You can see a 5-minute sparkline chart detailing the current session price action. Also, the Bid, Last Trade, Ask, with a highlight that if the current Bid is above the Last Trade the Bid price is highlighted with the color green and the if the current Ask is below the Last trade then the Ask price is highlighted with the color red. Net Change and Percent Net Change is displayed with Percentage Net Change heat mapped. Similarly, the Open, High, and Low are displayed. If the Last Trade is within two cents of the current High then the High is highlighted with a green background. If the Last Trade is within two cents of the current Low then the Low is highlighted with a red background.

Below this quote section is the top and bottom performing fifteen stocks from the ETF. The percent net change is used and is dynamically ranked throughout the trading session.

There are three charts. The first displays the ranked top 15 stocks with their percent net change for the session. The center displays the ranked bottom 15 stocks with their percent net change for the session.

The final chart displays a market with a user input symbol. To properly scale the chart press the “Rescale” button.
