Denver, CO and Chicago, IL, November 5, 2013 - CQG, Inc. announced today at the FIA Expo 2013 the release of CQG Integrated Client (CQG IC) version 2014 (CQG 2014). This latest iteration of the company's flagship platform includes new analytic and data visualization features, broadened global market data coverage, trade execution enhancements, and performance improvements across the whole product.
CQG 2014 features improved multi-core support resulting in the highest-performance CQG IC experience to date. A core part of the analytics calculation infrastructure has also been updated. As a result, studies and conditions in CQG IC 2014 can be calculated up to 100% faster.
Building on CQG's history as an industry leader in charting technologies and data quality, the latest version of CQG IC brings to market several new chart types. Heikin-Ashi, Renko, Range Bars, and Sub-Minute Bar charts have been added to answer customer demand. Additionally, the new Chart Tabs feature helps traders declutter their workspace by consolidating multiple chart windows into one. Customers can conserve real estate and streamline workflow by putting several charts into a single window and clicking tabs to switch between them.
"CQG 2014 represents significant improvements to the platform in the form of performance and core analytics enhancements, better workflow, the addition of hundreds of advanced features improvements, plus new exchange and data connections," says Josef Schroeter, President of CQG. "Our customers, by nature, are power users who demand high-performance analytics and ease-of-use. We are hearing a lot of validation from our beta customers that the 2014 changes make for a more powerful and effective toolkit."
CQG 2014 introduces several enhancements to Signal Evaluator, part of CQG's powerful backtesting module that is popular with advanced technical traders. A major user interface rewrite improves usability and modernizes the interface's look and feel. Traders can evaluate any technical condition using historical bar data as well as new signal performance statistics.
The new version also includes the following enhancements to CQG Spreader, CQG's order management and trade execution platform for spread traders:
- CQG Spreader can now lean on the entire book (DOM) rather than just the best bid/offer, so orders can be left in the market when there is not enough top-level liquidity.
- Server-side yield calculations make spreading fixed income products more efficient.
- Market data can be shown as decimals or fractions in all displays and charts. Traders can set the decimal separator, round fractions, and configure yield precision. They can take their orders off the market and then place them back with a single button.
- Customers have the ability to see the price of a particular option before they place an order.
