Food Supply and Demand Trend and Outlook in This Transition Year
CQG (Tokyo, Japan) will once again co-host the Commodity Seminar with the CME Group. The theme of this year's seminar is "Agricultural Products."
Topics
2024 is an election year, which is a turning point as policies around the world undergo significant changes. Understanding the fundamentals, including political risks, geopolitical risks, and issues directly connected to these such as food and energy security, will be crucial.
We are honored to have Mr. Akio Shibata, the CEO of Natural Resource Research Institute Inc., as our guest speaker. He will broadly discuss global agricultural supply and demand, food security, and the environment surrounding agriculture. In addition, from the CME Group, we will have presentations from Chief Economist Erik Norland and Executive Director of Agricultural Products Mr. Nelson.
This year has also seen significant movements toward historic yen depreciation, which has heightened the need for currency hedging. Ms. Shereen, CME Group's Senior Director of FX Products, will discuss currency futures. Also, Anthony Cohen, Head of Product Specialist from CQG, will also give a presentation.
A reception event will be after the seminar. Mr. Shibata and other speakers will attend, so please join us for casual discussions.
For those who are overseas or far away, we will also offer an online seminar.
For those participating online, a Zoom link will be sent a few days before the seminar after registration.
