Opening Remarks

We are pleased to announce a special seminar co-hosted by CME Group and CQG, focusing on the current state and future outlook of the global energy market.

For this occasion, we are honored to welcome Mr. Takayuki Nogami, Chief Economist at the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC), as our distinguished guest speaker. He will provide insights into energy market trends and prospects from a global perspective.

In 2025, the reinstatement of the Trump administration in the United States has already begun to exert significant influence on global markets through its policies and statements. At the same time, prolonged tensions in Russia and Ukraine, increasing instability in the Middle East, and continued uncertainty surrounding U.S.-China trade relations haveamplified geopolitical risks, directly impacting the energy sector. Resources such as crude oil and natural gas remain at the center of international debate on energy security, environmental policy, and economic strategy. We hope this seminar will deepen your understanding of the challenges and opportunities shaping the energy markets and provide valuable insights to support your business decision-making.

As in previous years, a networking reception will follow the seminar, offering participants the opportunity to exchange views and ideas. To accommodate participants overseas and in distant regions, the seminar will also be available online.

*For online participants, a Zoom link will be sent a few days prior to the event after registration is confirmed.
