What's New in CQG M Version 2.8

Here are some of the exciting new features in CQG M version 2.8, available on demo and production now.

  • Go flat: Go flat for a single symbol is now available in the HOT widget.
  • Order info: In the order pop-up and in the HOT grid, you can now see information for your order.
  • Modifying orders: In the order pop-up, (in buy/sell columns and at the top of HOT), simply click an order to open the Modify Order dialog.
  • Good-till-time (GTT): Good-till-time has been added to order duration options.
  • Sweep mode: Sweep mode enables trades into the opposite side of the market and allows you to take all resting orders in the book up to your price.
  • Open interest column: In QSS, we added the open interest column.

The following images show examples of the new features:

Go flat

  • Tap the position display to liquidate or go flat if there are working orders.

  • Tap the order display to cancel or go flat if there is a position.

Order info

  • In the order pop-up and in the HOT grid, you can now see information for your order.

Modifying orders

  • In the order pop-up, (in buy/sell columns and at the top of HOT), simply click an order to open the Modify Order dialog.

Sweep mode

Sweep mode enables trades into the opposite side of the market and allows you to take all resting orders in the book up to your price.

  • Since functionality like this has high impact, it must be explicitly turned on in preferences.
  • Symbols must be specifically added to be included in sweep mode.
  • Once a symbol is added to the sweep list, click the DOM column to place a sweep order into the market.
  • CQG M will always force a confirm for a sweep order to prevent unintended orders. The order size in the confirmation window shows cumulative size up to the price that you selected. Yellow text shows the warning. Sweeps can be turned off at any time in preferences.

We hope that these updates help improve your trading workflow. We continually strive to improve your CQG Desktop experience. We invite you to vote for or enter features you want via our CQG Forums site.
